About Us
Meet Kylie
I am a Clinical Psychologist specialising in work with veterans, current serving ADF members, and first responders. My work is grounded in a strong understanding of service culture, cumulative stress, and the effects of operating in high-demand environments. I work with experiences that may be difficult to define or compare, yet can have a lasting impact on how people think, feel, relate, and function over time, often in ways that do not resolve without support.
My clinical approach recognises that psychological distress is rarely confined to symptoms alone. In practice, its effects are often seen across safety, self-trust, emotional regulation, identity, intimacy, values, and a person’s sense of meaning or purpose. I work with individuals experiencing trauma-related responses, moral injury, grief and loss, substance use concerns, relationship strain, and difficulties associated with prolonged pressure, cumulative exposure, transition, or change.

Dr. Kylie Ringuet
Clinical Psychologist
My work prioritises safety, clarity and capacity over intensity.
I work with both individuals and groups, including one-to-one therapy and facilitated group programs. My approach is steady, structured, and grounded in psychological safety, with an emphasis on clear formulation, emotional regulation, and the development of practical skills that support day-to-day functioning and capacity over time.
Alongside therapeutic work, I also provide specialist psychological assessments and medico-legal reporting for DVA mental health compensation claims, including Liability and Permanent Impairment reports. This work is approached with the same care, clarity, and clinical rigour as my therapeutic practice, with particular attention to diagnostic standards, functional impact, and evidentiary requirements relevant to the DVA context.
My clinical work draws on a range of evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches, selected according to individual presentation and need. These may include EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, somatic and parts-based approaches, Gestalt therapy, and carefully regulated breath-based practices. I have completed formal training in medicine-assisted psychotherapy and hold accreditation in psychedelic-assisted therapy. Where appropriate, this work sits within a broader psychological formulation rather than as a stand alone intervention and is approached conservatively and ethically, with a strong emphasis on screening, preparation, integration, and meaningful change within appropriate clinical and regulatory frameworks.
Outside of clinical work, and consistent with the way I approach care, I enjoy surfing and yoga and continue my own practice of learning how to slow a busy mind through meditation.
